Have we changed the Linux users?

Very interesting article I read in Linux that talks about something many people complain rookie or windoleros and the lack of help from Linux users to solve problems. Without further preface I leave the article:

Linux Journal is probably one of the essential journals in the history of Linux. I have not bought it, but its online version is still a fantastic source of information, but yes, the interface design and have fallen a little behind.

But the content, as I said, it's still really good. I met yesterday with an article by a writer named Chase Crum entitled "User vs Linux. Linux Culture" in which he related his recent experience in some IRC rooms where you had to ask for help or when you just came out of curiosity. And that experiment led him to think that maybe the mentality of the Linux users are changing slightly.

Actually, this is also my experience. Looooong time ago since I took my first steps, and when I managed to install the first time I spent several days exchanging emails with people who had done the same thing before and had been successful. The attitude of those users was amazing: just slow in answer, and always willing to try to solve the problem.

That attitude "evangelizing" that I served my time trying to help many people over the years, and ended up serving for MuyLinux come to light and that in turn serves as a resource for everyone but this rule is not always true. It seems that little by little some users with more experience and a different attitude-must be respected throughout the world are simply not interested in helping. When asked why something does not work, they respond with the famous:
RTFM. ("Read the Fucking Manual" - "Read the manual p. .. o)

It is a grave error, I think, that the Linux community is beginning to make. In the IRC room you can find everything, of course: people who help you, and people passing you. But the proportion is shifting dangerously towards a larger group of users who have forgotten that one of the great advantages of Linux was just a lot of people were always willing to help.

Are we losing the spirit of evangelization?
