Mexico (EFE). The alleged drug trafficker Jose Jorge Balderas Garza, aka "JJ", said today that his bodyguard was Jose Francisco Barreto García, known as "The Accountant" who shot the player Salvador Cabanas, said the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) federal.

"JJ" was captured Tuesday in Bosques de las Lomas, in western Mexico City, along with six accomplices, including Colombian model Juliana Sossa Toro (25), identified as his girlfriend, told reporters Ramón Small, head of the narcotics division of the federal police.

The detainee, who is designated as Cabin alleged offender and the SSP sought as alleged drug trafficker linked to the gunman Edgar Valdez Villarreal, aka "La Barbie", told police he was his bodyguard who shot the player.

He said that the incident was raised on January 25, 2010 in a bar in Mexico City when he entered the bathroom and found Cabanas, who was upset because "JJ" asked for permission to access the toilet.

The other detainees are now the Colombian Juliana Sosa Toro, 25, and identified as the girlfriend of "JJ" and who was a professional model, Raymundo Rangel Madrid, 25, originally from Laredo (Texas, USA ), and Mexican Ricardo García González, 37 years; Deniel Garcia, 30; Jorge Ramon Madrid, 34, and Urin Madrid.

A detained by police officers confiscated IDs with different names, several packages of cocaine apparently, five guns, six handguns and a submachine gun, 304 cartridges of different calibers, two grenades, six bullet-proof vests, and 1.3 million pesos (108,000 dollars) and $ 51,000, plus two cars.

Small Ramon said that the capture of "JJ" were key arrests last year of "Barbie" and "The Accountant", in two separate events.
