distro Ubuntu Linux distribution based on Ubuntu

Qimo for Kids

Qimo is a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu that is designed for children 3 and older. Like any other distributions, comes with software pre-installed in this case are educational games.
Its interface is designed to be easy to use, characterized by large icons in every game installed (usually, I think the main menu could have followed the approach of the desktop icons).

It is ideal to have on a CD and when the nephews come to visit, run it from this, in case you want to install the requirements are 256MB of RAM and 6GB of disk space.

Qimo has an attractive interface for children, colors, pictures and icons designed in the tastes of young audiences, who also have access to programs and games within the same OS.

Now in its version 2.0, Qimo can be set according to age, tastes and needs of each child, with the possibility that many children have their own accounts within the same computer. It is also available in Spanish.

Some features of Qimo are:

. Designed for children ages 3 and up.
. Intuitive design and easy to use.
. Adaptation of wallpapers.
. Customizing icons.
. Pre-installed games.
. Assistants to customize the system.
