Mattel warning that several accessories "Barbie" may be hazardous to the health of children


Washington .- The U.S. giant Mattel announced a new recall of toys for the third time this summer that will particularly affect the accessories for your Barbie doll star.

Seven of the famous blonde accessories are potentially hazardous to the health of children due to its high content of lead, from the dyes used.

The recall applies also two games for preschoolers: a musical instrument and a train (sold under the brand GeoTrax).

Mattel made two massive recalls of toys in recent weeks because of high lead content.
Overall, the recall involves 844,000 pieces, 522,000 U.S. and 322,000 in the rest of the world, Mattel said in a statement.

The U.S. firm said it made this decision voluntarily, after a review of their relations with their Chinese suppliers. Several were excluded from the list of subcontractors.
