This week, Apple received a class action lawsuit, filed in a court of San Francisco, the incentive to make purchases within applications, games made specifically for children. The document says that Apple releases free applications but call children to shop in-game.
One of the plaintiffs, Garen Meguerian, says her 9 year old son got a series of free applications from the App Store. Although games will not cost him anything, a week after his son had spent $ 200 on things like money or supplies of the game.
The lawsuit says:
said:These games are very addictive, deliberately designed for that, and often encourage kids who play them to buy large amounts of money in the game, getting to spend U.S. $ 100 purchase or more.
According to plaintiffs, the problem is that the password used to buy applications in the App Store is the same as that used to buy items in the games, so if children can download games, also can buy things.
Apple recently added a warning to buy games are free to say that although the use may generate costs, but for the applicants is not sufficient. They want their money back that Apple won this and that contracts are not valid to be made smaller.
