Paraguay: condemn free clown act

ASUNCION (AP) - The Paraguayan courts on Thursday sentenced a children's party clown, a free act for two years for trying to steal valuables from a private residence.


The trial judge Gustavo Amarilla said in an interview with Channel 4 television in Asuncion, the convicted Carlos Cañete "was denounced, arrested and prosecuted for the alleged crime of attempted theft, in one case a year ago.
