Drug trafficker Edgar Valdez Villareal, alias "La Barbie," one of the most wanted criminals in Mexico, was arrested Tuesday, officials said.
Valdez fought to control the cartel from the Beltran LeyvaSegún a spokesman for the federal Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the drug trafficker was arrested between the State of Mexico and Morelos, near Mexico City.
The operation, launched by the Federal Police, continues at this time, although details were not disclosed.
