Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the young genius 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), tries to discover what is behind the mysterious disappearance of his father to be suddenly immersed in the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games in which his father has lived for five decades.
Accompanied by his loyal confidant (Olivia Walde), father and son embark on an adventure of life and death through extraordinary cyber-universe that has become a much more advanced and incredibly dangerous.
